A plain-language summary of our posture. It is not a substitute for the full data agreement we provide to clinics at onboarding. Last reviewed September 2026.
What we handle
The clinic and patient records you create or import while using Lemma, registrations, encounters, notes, prescriptions, and documents you choose to bring in.
Where it’s stored and processed
Records, documents and audit logs are stored in India, in AWS ap-south-1. Some AI processing steps run with contracted vendors outside India, with health data protected to the same standard.
Who else processes it
We use contracted service providers for cloud hosting, speech recognition, messaging and AI processing. Cloud hosting and storage are in India. Some AI processing runs with vendors outside India under contract, protected to the same standard.
How it’s protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is role-based, and every change is written to an append-only audit trail.
Consent
We record consent against a named purpose for AI processing, record sharing and patient messaging, and erasure is built into the data model. Lemma is designed for India’s DPDPA.
How long we keep it
Clinic and patient records are kept for as long as the clinic uses Lemma. Enquiry details from this website are kept only as long as we need them to reply and follow up.
The patient’s copy
Records are FHIR-native and ABHA-linked. The patient keeps their own copy that follows them between providers. We do not sell patient data.
How AI is used
AI assists clinicians with drafting and suggestions; a clinician always confirms before anything is recorded or acted on. Lemma does not make autonomous clinical decisions.
Data you send us on this website
The form on this site, whether you request access or ask a question, collects your name, organisation, city and contact details so a person can reply. We also keep the campaign link and referring page you arrived from, so we know which outreach worked. We do not sell them and we do not use them for anything else.
